THE PATRICIAN
photo by Diana Helgesen This small Persian style double-edged swept point dagger is called the "Patrician", in honor of my daughter-in-law who designed it. With a blade of 1/8" thick (6mm) Raindrop pattern Damascus, the more than 35 pieces that make up its maple burl and ivory handle is accented with Brazilian rosewood and copper, marine bronze, and stainless steel. It fits snugly inside its premium leather pouch sheath that is worn tucked in a belt or sash in the traditional Middle East style. |
