BIRD & TROUT LITE STAG

These Bird 'n Trout Lite knives are probably some of the most useful field tools around, and many agree that small is better. With blades that range from three and-a-half to four inches and about five-eighths wide, these slender little knives have very ample handles to produce a lot of torque when needed, or finesse when close, accurate work is required. Hardly noticeable when worn high on a belt, these Lites also are capable of double-duty in camp making chores such as peeling and cutting vegetables and trimming meat for a campfire stewpot a breeze. And they'll take care of that 1-inch thick ribeye steak just as easily on gamebirds and panfish. A great all-around knife, Lites are the way to go when multi-purpose needs in a single tool define how to pack for multiple days in the field.

Customer Comment--Wade King, Minnesota hunter, fisherman, and knock-around guy, says, "If I had to reduce my knife collection to one using knife, this would be it. It is especially useful on dressing small game. I have used it in the last year to dress ducks and rabbits, and to assist in butchering deer. I would not hesitate to use one of this style for my primary deer dressing knife. Many hunters choose much too large of a blade, which usually indicates they are using their knives for work better suited to a saw or an axe. This knife is the right tool for the cutting job 99% of the time, and for that 1% when it's not, I'm usually using a bone-saw or a hatchet."
